Making dinner.

There are lots of firsts in a child's life and I have to say this is one of my favorite!
When they can make dinner all by themselves. As you can see she went with the traditional pasta with sauce and a green salad. BTW that ain't no Ragu folks, that's good ole homemade sauce, sans the MSG of course!

Easy Marinara Sauce

1 small onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 TBL olive oil
1 carrot, grated
2 15 oz cans of tomato sauce-or tomatos blended up
2 TBL basil
1 TBL oregeno
3 TBL parsley
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
3-4 red pepper flakes
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft. Stir in carrot. Saute 2 or 3 minutes. Add tomato sauce, basil, and oregano. Simmer 30 minutes stir in parsley, salt and pepper. This makes enough for 1 lb of pasta and is best if you make it in the morning and then let it sit all day and then reheat when ready to serve.
